Researchers from Germany's University of Tübingen have been using Super Mario to build a cognitive model in order to understand how the human brain works.
In a video posted by the Cognitive Modeling Group at Germany's University of Tübingen, Mario explains that he is feeling good, before confirming that when he jumps on Goombas they die.
He can search for coins when he is hungry, explore when he is curious and plan action sequences.
