Kevin Scott, a 21-year-old British design school graduate, found the ultimate solution in protecting a commuter bike from theft: bend it around the pole to lock it. Kevin got the idea when he realized that a lack of facilities -- particularly security -- is what made commuters less likely to be cycle to and from work.

The bike, which won second place in the Business Design Centre new designer of the year competition, has a tension cable which, when released, loosens sectional components of the bike, allowing it to bend. This in turn makes the bike really easy to lock without the person having to carry any extra things.
