When the Dalai Lama Calls You Fat, It's Time To Go On a Diet

Johann Hari began to suspect that maybe he should lose weight when he walked into KFC last year and the entire staff pulled out a large Christmas card for him, signed by everybody who worked there. "You are our best customer!" they exclaimed, and -- in unison -- the staff applauded him.

A more obvious clue presented itself when he interviewed the Dalai Lama. "And when the Dalai Lama," explains Hari, "a man revered as an infinitely forgiving living deity, calls you fat, you take the hint". Here is Hari's article on The Independent.
