The philosophy behind iFixIt.com is simple: provide tools, parts and simple instructions so that everyday people can fix the things they own. They do this not just because it's practical, economical or fun. It's because by learning how things work helps people appreciate and better take care of their objects. Most importantly, in a society based solely on consumerism, fixing something and making it last longer means it's one less thing going into a landfill.
We help thousands of people repair their devices every day. Why do we do it? Because companies like Apple don't provide repair parts and documentation to end users. We believe everyone should have the right to maintain and repair their products.
