A London ice cream shop, The Icecreamist, has made headlines by offering ice cream made from the breast milk of over 15 women. The new flavour's name? Baby Gaga.
The rare offering proved a hit with customers at the Covent Garden store -- the first batch sold out within days of being introduced. A serving of Baby Gaga, which is reportedly flavored with vanilla and lemon zest, goes for 14 pounds -- or about $22.50 USD.
Reportedly, although the breast milk was "screened in line with hospital/blood donor requirements," after receiving two complaints from the public over whether a shop should be selling edibles made from other people's bodily fluids, health officials from England's Food Standards Agency confiscated the ice cream. Considering the alternatives as far as bodily fluids go, breast milk doesn't sound so bad.
