According to the X-Rite website, "1 out of 255 women and 1 out of 12 men have some form of color vision deficiency."
You can discover your level of deficiency by taking X-Rite's colour challenge to see just how well -- or badly -- your acuity is.
Amusingly, knowing that I am colour-blind, I was quite surprised to discover that my score was a meagre 23 -- with 0 being the best score and 1520 the worse for my gender and age group. You can see on the image above my attempt.
