The Bee Collective launched their first Sky Hive prototype in Sphinxpark Maastricht, a 7 metre tall pole that hosts two bee colonies.

The 7 meter long object makes beekeeping possible and visible in public urban areas, with the aim to attract a new generation of beekeepers. New beekeepers are necessary because honeybees have been dying in large numbers the last years, and there are less and less beekeepers.
