This personal project by creative technologist Natalia Rojas titled The Faces of Facebook gives you a glimpse of the 1 point 2 billion profile photos currently on Facebook. The image you see above is all the profile photos together.
We are not breaking any Facebook privacy rules because we don't store anyone's private information, pictures or names.
We've just found a harmless way to show 1,268,369,077 Facebook profile pictures and organize them in chronological order.
Because there we are, all mixed up: large families, women wearing burkas, many Leo Messis, people supporting same-sex marriages or r4bia, Chihuahuas, Inidna Gods, toursts pushing the leaning Tower of Pisa, selfies, newborns, Ferrarris, studio black and white portraints, a lot of weddings but zero divorces, ID photos, face framed in hearts, best friends, manga characters, politic logos, deep looks, love messages, eyes, memes, smiles, sweet grandparents and some not-yet-censured pictures.
